Residents of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands are reminded to take part in a special 25th Anniversary of Amalgamation Flag Raising taking place today in Lansdowne.
The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Municipal Office, located at 1233 Prince Street, and will officially unveil and raise the Township’s commemorative anniversary flag.
The flag features a community-inspired design created by JP Jackson, recognizing 25 years since the Township’s amalgamation.
Officials are inviting residents to join the celebration, recognize the local creativity behind the design, and mark this important milestone in the Township’s history.
The event is free to attend and offers community members an opportunity to celebrate the past while looking ahead to the future together.
