Plenty of new and used hockey equipment to players of all ages and skill levels at the Next Shift Hockey Free Equipment Giveaway last week at the Gord Brown Memorial Hockey rink in Gananoque. Organizer Cassandra Revelle says the first ever event went very well.
Revelle says there was plenty of community support.
She tells us how many people they helped out through this debut event.
She says the plan is to do another one in 2027. Next Shift Hockey a non profit out of Ottawa played a major role along with several volunteers. Revelle also thanked Tim Hortons Gananoque, Play It Again Sports Kingston and Betterview Tree Service.
