The Southeast Public Health Board of Health has received an update on the development of its 2026-28 Strategic Plan during its regular monthly meeting in Kingston.
Board members were presented with a preliminary Strategic Plan Costing and Resource Report, which outlines the financial and resource requirements needed to move forward with the priorities identified in the plan.
The report was received as information, and officials say additional work is still required before the completed strategic plan is released publicly.
The Board also approved a recommendation from its Governance Committee regarding meeting stipends. Effective January 2027, the Board Chair and provincial representatives will receive a $200 stipend for attending regular or special Board meetings, committee meetings and business meetings conducted on behalf of the Board.
Currently, those representatives receive $150 per meeting. Municipal representatives do not receive a stipend from the Board, as they are compensated through their respective municipalities.
