Gananoque residents will have an opportunity to dispose of bulky household items during the Town’s annual Residential Cleanup “Dump Day” on Saturday, August 22.
The event runs from 8 a.m. until noon at the Public Works Yard, located at 665 Charles Street, with access available only from James A. Brennan Road.
Residents must provide proof of residency, transport their own items to the site and pay applicable disposal fees in cash before entering. Town staff will be on hand to direct vehicles to the appropriate disposal bins.
A variety of bulky household items, including furniture, mattresses, sinks, toilets, children’s toys and clean lumber, will be accepted for a fee. Scrap metal, metal appliances with freon removed, electronic waste, bagged leaf and yard waste, and brush will be accepted free of charge.
Household garbage, construction materials, tires, hazardous waste, business waste and recyclable blue box materials will not be accepted during the event.
