The Town of Gananoque will lower its flag to half-mast from Tuesday, July 28 through Wednesday, July 29 in memory of former councillor Roger Gipson.
Gipson passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 72. He served on Gananoque Town Council for two terms, first from 1989 to 1994 and again from 2001 to 2006.
Town officials say the flag will be lowered in recognition of his years of public service and dedication to the community.
The Town also extended its sincere condolences to the Gipson family during this difficult time.
Residents are encouraged to join the community in remembering Gipson’s contributions to Gananoque and his years of service to local government.
