It is still summer time but the 2026-27 Gananoque Minor Hockey Season is right around the corner and registrations are already being taken. Spots are filling up fast but the Association is working to accommodate all players interested. President Danielle Jean Desharnais says signing up by this Saturday could have its perks.
Desharnais tells us about something new that will help with travel this season.
Players have until August 1st to sign up for the early bird draw to win a chance at free registration. Those signed up to be part of the bench staff are also in the running for free registration. Danielle adds that the primary goal is to make sure all those interested get a chance to play on a team.
Spots are filling up and some teams are wait listed but there is no need to be worried.
If you are not a player but would like to contribute, the association is always looking for volunteers and coaches.
