Good news for swimmers and beachgoers in Gananoque. Joel Stone Beach has officially returned to Green Status after being cleared and reopened for use by the Southeast Health Public Health Unit.
The Town says all beach signs have been removed and the waterfront is now open to the public. The splash pad at 135 Water Street also remains available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while washrooms are open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Officials say they will continue monitoring the situation with the health unit and will provide updates if needed. Residents and visitors can once again enjoy the beach and summer activities at Joel Stone Park.
