The Brockville Ontario Speedway is paying tribute to one of its longtime competitors by renaming this year’s Fall Nationals Memorial Race in honour of Keith “Chico” Dingwall.
The special event will take place on Saturday, October 17, celebrating Dingwall’s racing legacy and his iconic No. 96 car. As part of the tribute, the Modified Feature will become a 96-lap memorial race, with the entire day built around a “96” theme.
Plans include $96 lap sponsorships, 96-themed heat races, special tributes and additional activities to be announced.
Speedway officials say Dingwall was more than a competitor, describing him as a longtime friend whose passion, sportsmanship and dedication left a lasting impact on the racing community.
Businesses, teams, fans and supporters are invited to sponsor laps or other portions of the event. Organizers say all sponsorship funds raised will go directly to the winning drivers in honour of Dingwall’s love for the sport.
