The Lansdowne Agricultural Society is asking residents to clean out their closets, bookshelves and storage spaces and donate gently used items for its upcoming Closet Sale fundraiser.
The next donation drop-off dates are today, August 11, from 4 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, August 15, from 9 to 10 a.m.; and Tuesday, August 18, from 4 to 6 p.m at the Lansdowne Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.
Organizers are accepting home décor, gently used clothing and accessories such as purses, belts and jewelry. Books, magazines, DVDs, VHS movies, CDs, cassettes and records are also welcome.
Donors are asked to ensure all items are clean, washed and in gently used condition so they are ready for a new owner.
The Agricultural Society says every donation helps make the Closet Sale a success while supporting the annual Lansdowne Fair and its community activities.
