The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are currently closed at Edward Street North in Prescott following a collision involving two vehicles.
The Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews are on scene and injuries are being assessed.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the response and investigation continue. Drivers should also expect traffic delays in the area.
The OPP is advising motorists to exercise caution around the scene and follow directions from emergency personnel.
Further updates on the collision and the highway closure are expected as more information becomes available.
