Two free evenings of live music are planned at Joel Stone Park in Gananoque this weekend, with residents and visitors invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy entertainment along the St. Lawrence River.
The concerts take place at 125 Water Street, beginning at 7:30 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
Friday night’s performance features Georgette Fry, an award-winning Kingston singer performing jazz, blues, gospel and pop with her band.
Saturday’s lineup features local rock and roll cover band The Stares, followed by acclaimed Canadian rock group Odds. The Stares are known for energetic performances featuring songs from a wide range of artists, while Odds have been performing for more than three decades.
Admission is free and the concerts are family-friendly.
The Gananoque and Area Food Bank will also be onsite collecting non-perishable food donations. Organizers are encouraging concertgoers to bring an item to help support local families.
The concerts are sponsored by the Town of Gananoque and Tourism Advisory Panel.
