Another provincewide protest against Premier Doug Ford is planned for Brockville on Saturday, August 29.
The Leeds Grenville Labour Council is organizing the protest, which will begin at 11 a.m. at Thousand Islands Secondary School.
It follows a similar demonstration held in Brockville last month.
Organizer Thomas Hopkins explains why he chose to hold another protest.
He says the protest is about demanding fair wages and working conditions, and opposing the privatization of public services and other provincial policies.
Hopkins says turnout at last month’s protest was quite strong.
Hopkins also explains why locals should attend.
He also says the timing is important, with OPSEU/SEFPO workers currently on strike and the possibility of teachers walking off the job in the fall.
Water and signs will be available at the site, and organizers say everyone is welcome to take part.
