The Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament has raised big dollars for programs and services across Leeds and Grenville.
The annual tournament, held in honour of the late MP Gord Brown, brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, donors and community partners to support the United Way Leeds & Grenville annual campaign.
The campaign provides funding for programs that help meet the greatest needs of individuals and families across the region.
United Way Leeds & Grenville Board Chair Ian McFall said Brown’s legacy of community service continues through the tournament.
The event also featured former NHL players Alyn McCauley, Chris Neil, Larry Robinson and Moe Robinson, highlighting Brown’s love of hockey.
Organizers thanked participants and sponsors for helping make the tournament a success. The tournament raised a total of $173,318.80.
Major sponsors included Canarm Ltd. and Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands. VIP sponsors included Hybrid Construction Group, Riverside Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd., SmartCentres REIT, Findlay Foods Kingston, Smugglers Glen Golf Course, Brown Hospitality and Henderson Digital Marketing & Printing.
