Gananoque firefighters recently took part in a realistic residential fire simulation designed to strengthen their skills and teamwork in emergency situations.
The training focused on several critical areas, including civilian search and rescue, firefighter Mayday procedures, Rapid Intervention Team operations, accountability and communication.
Fire officials say complex training scenarios like this help crews build the skills and coordination they need when responding to real emergencies.
The Gananoque Fire Department also thanked Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Services for allowing local firefighters to use their training prop for the exercise.
Firefighters say the hands-on session provided an opportunity to practise working together in a challenging environment and prepare for situations where effective communication and teamwork can be critical to a successful response.
