Residents of Leeds and the Thousand Islands are being reminded to register for an upcoming Lunch N Learn focused on scam prevention.
The free “Feed Your Mind” Lunch N Learn will take place Tuesday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seeley’s Bay Community Hall, located at 151 Main Street.
The session will feature a guest speaker from Victim Services Leeds Grenville, who will share practical tips on recognizing fraud, avoiding common scams, and protecting personal information. Organizers say the presentation is designed to help residents stay informed about increasingly sophisticated scam tactics targeting people of all ages.
Following the presentation, attendees are invited to stay for lunch and connect with others in the community.
Registration is required. Residents can register online through the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands website or call 613-659-2415 ext. 207.
Transportation is also available from several community locations, with accessible transportation arrangements available through Senior Support Services Brockville. The event is funded by the Government of Ontario.
