A reminder of some temporary access changes at the Thousand Islands Bridge this weekend.
The U.S. Bridge sidewalk will be closed Sunday morning, September 13th, for the third annual “Bridge the Gap” charity walk taking place across the Thousand Islands Bridge.
In addition, the parking lot at the 1000 Islands International Tourism Council will close beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, September 11th, ahead of the event.
The parking lot and sidewalk will reopen once the event and related activities have concluded.
The “Bridge the Gap” walk is being held to raise funds in support of charitable initiatives through The Compassionate Care Foundation.
Residents and visitors planning to use the area are encouraged to be aware of the temporary closures and plan accordingly.
