The Gananoque Royals are starting the hockey season with some hardware.
The U15 Competitive Royals captured first place in the U15B Division at the 2026 Starfest Stouffville-Markham Pre-Season Tournament.
Gananoque capped off the tournament with a 3-2 victory over Kanata in the championship game.
The Gananoque Girls Hockey Association congratulated the players and coaching staff on the tournament win and strong start to the season.
The pre-season tournament gave the Royals an opportunity to get back into competitive action ahead of the regular season.
The U15 team now has some early momentum after coming out on top of the division.
Congratulations to the Gananoque Royals on bringing home the championship and getting their new season off to a winning start.
