Gananoque residents are getting another chance to turn unwanted household items into someone else’s treasure.
Trash to Treasure Day takes place this Saturday, September 19th, giving residents an opportunity to put gently used items at the curb for others to take.
Items can be placed outside starting at 7 a.m. and must be clearly marked “free.” Residents are reminded that anything left over must be brought back inside by 7 p.m.
The goal is to encourage reuse and sharing while keeping usable items out of the landfill.
Residents are also reminded that dumping waste is prohibited and is an offence.
Treasure hunters can spend the day driving around Gananoque looking for useful finds and hidden gems.
