Students and staff at Thousand Islands Elementary School have raised $1,368 for cancer research through their annual Toonies for Terry campaign and Terry Fox T-shirt sales.
The school announced the fundraising total this week, praising the efforts of the Timberwolves school community for supporting the cause. Organizers say the campaign brought students, families and staff together while continuing Terry Fox’s legacy of helping fund cancer research across Canada.
A social media post celebrating the achievement thanked everyone who contributed, calling it “an incredible way to come together as a school community and make a difference.”
The funds raised will support the Terry Fox Foundation’s ongoing work in cancer research. School officials congratulated students for their generosity and community spirit, highlighting the strong support shown throughout the campaign.
