Residents are invited to learn more about fire safety during the Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service Open House on October 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Fire halls in Lansdowne, Gananoque, Seeleys Bay and Lyndhurst will welcome visitors as part of Fire Prevention Week, which carries the theme “Safe Charging is a Superpower.”
Attendees can receive information on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, burn permits and driveway clearances.
The event will also feature firefighter recruitment information and opportunities to explore fire trucks up close.
Organizers encourage families to attend and learn valuable fire safety practices together.
