Everyone loves advent calendars around Christmas time, but a fundraising effort for the Soup Kitchen at Moroni’s in Gananoque is going one step further. A giant advent calendar with prizes available from December 1st through the 24th for $100 each will be given to a lucky winner. Here’s Joanne Chitty to explain how this works.
Chitty says the calendar is being filled with prizes and all proceeds go to a special cause.
Chitty says when the prize is given out each day, you’ll see something special at the drawing location.
She adds the drawings will take place at Moroni’s on King Street, the home of the Gan Soup Kitchen. Tickets are available for $5 each or 3 for $10. Prizes will be donated by local businesses and individuals in time for the holiday season.
