Thanksgiving holiday Monday is almost here.
Municipal employees in Leeds Thousand Islands are getting a well-deserved break. Gananoque Town Hall will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, for the Thanksgiving holiday. The town says regular business hours will resume Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 8:30 a.m.
The Gananoque and 1000 Islands Visitor Centre at 10 King St. East will remain open throughout the long weekend. The centre is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with public washrooms available.
There will be no changes to waste and recycling collection during the holiday weekend. Residents will continue to receive collection services on their regular Tuesday and Friday schedules.
Most retail is closed in the area, you may have to take a little drive if you need something in a pinch.
