The work will focus on the tower’s outside surface and protective coating, helping assess its current condition.
Residents may notice changes to the water tower’s appearance while the cleaning and inspection are underway.
The town says any issues identified during this process will be addressed as part of a larger renewal project planned for the summer of 2027.
The upcoming renewal project will provide an opportunity to deal with any concerns uncovered during the current inspection.
The town is reminding residents that the work is focused on the exterior of the tower, with the findings helping guide the planned improvements next summer.
