Gananoque Fire Service firefighters have been sharpening their emergency response skills through hands-on auto extrication training this week.
The training gives firefighters an opportunity to practise the techniques and procedures needed to safely remove patients from vehicles following a collision.
The fire service says ongoing training is essential to keeping crews prepared to respond when the community needs them most.
The department is also thanking Thomas Reid of TR Towing for his continued support in providing vehicles for training sessions.
The fire service says Reid’s assistance makes a real difference in helping firefighters develop their skills and prepare for the calls they may face.
The department recognizes the importance of community partnerships in ensuring local crews remain ready to respond to emergencies.
