Motorists travelling across the Thousand Islands Bridge System should expect delays Wednesday morning due to scheduled maintenance on the Canadian span.
The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority says traffic control will begin November 4th at 9 a.m. and continue until approximately noon.
During this time, alternating one-way traffic operations will be in place to allow crews to complete the necessary work.
Drivers should plan for possible delays, allow extra time for their journeys and follow all directions from traffic control personnel.
The maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the bridge system. The authority is reminding motorists to use caution and be prepared for changing traffic conditions while travelling through the Canadian crossing.
