Carveth Care Centre has postponed its annual Memorial Service, which was scheduled to take place November 11th alongside its Remembrance Day service.
The service will now be held once construction of the facility’s new Multi-Purpose Room is complete. The room is currently under construction and is expected to be ready by the end of the year. A new date for the memorial service will be announced once the space is finished and available.
The postponement comes as Carveth Care Centre is also dealing with an Influenza A outbreak in its long-term care home. Five residents have tested positive, with additional residents experiencing respiratory symptoms.
Visitation is restricted to essential caregivers only, and masks are mandatory for staff and visitors. The retirement lodge is not affected and continues to operate as usual.
Residents and families are thanked for their understanding and cooperation.
