July was hot…very hot. According to Environment Canada there were two heat waves that hit the region over the month. One hit June 29 and lasted until July 6 covering most of southwestern Ontario, and the other ran from July 13 to 16 which affected most of the Province. Overall monthly mean temperatures were above normal for most of the province. By mid-July forest fires were starting in the province which persist today. Taking a look at this month, we can expect above average temperatures until about mid-month, normal amounts of precipitation, and to round out the end of the month, more normal temperatures.
