Kingston police continue to investigate after several schools were placed in lockdown and hold and secure yesterday. They are looking for anyone with information to come forward. Police responded to Regi, Bayridge and Holy Cross yesterday at 9:30am, 11am and 1:00 pm respectively, after threats were made, Mother Theresa and Lancaster public were also placed on lockdown. Police say threats were received by phone and suggested a suspect was planning on entering the schools with a weapon to do harm. The schools were placed into Lockdown for safety of staff and students. Frontenac Secondary, Bayridge Public, Mille-Isles and Marie Rivier were all placed on hold and secure as a precaution. The schools were searched and deemed safe remainder of the day. Students were dismissed at the usual time.
