Residents of Leeds and the Thousand Islands have a little more time to have their say on the township’s Transportation Master Plan. The deadline to complete a survey on the plan has been extended to Friday of this week. The study will provide recommendations to the Township to help prioritize and plan for transportation related infrastructure. One element of the plan looks at how to increase Active Transportation, or human powered travel like cycling or walking. Feedback provided at public open houses also identified a couple key issues such as the need for safety improvements to roads, bridges and intersections, and more parking. You can find a link to the survey at Leeds1000islands.ca.
